International Maritime Forum: Great speakers and valuable debate

Question: What do you get when you mix a past Deputy Prime Minister; a Panamanian Ambassador; leaders from the British, European and global port sectors; the heads of some of Britain’s most forward thinking maritime clusters and ambassadors for the growth of Women in Maritime together with over 140 representatives from the northern maritime supply chain?

Answer: a highly dynamic day’s conference that shouts innovation, thought leadership and strong networking.

Shipping Innovation, the events business which brings you London International Shipping Week, European Shipping Week and the soon to be launched Portugal Shipping Week, was asked by Liverpool Vision to put together an industry-leading maritime conference that would be part of the UK Government’s three week-long event initiative in the city called the International Business Festival.

We were happy to oblige and delivered an International Maritime Forum which drew together movers and shakers in politics and UK ports and maritime to produce an event all who attended are proclaiming was nothing short of a substantial success.

But we know that these things are only possible with the help and cooperation of those attending and those supporting it so massive thanks to the Isle of Man Maritime and the Port of Antwerp for sponsoring the event and thanks to the delegates who came along, made the event a highly charged and interactive affair. And very good panel and speaker questions too.
